Fitment first. This kit is intended for 2007.5–2024 Ram 2500/3500 pickup trucks with the 6.7L Cummins. It does not fit Cab & Chassis applications. Confirm the truck configuration before disassembly.
Why the Intake Manifold and Heater Plate Are Addressed Together
The factory intake elbow and grid-heater area form one connected installation zone. Replacing the manifold changes where the factory throttle valve, MAP sensor, temperature sensor, EGR valve, EGR crossover components, dipstick support, fuel rail, and heater connection must be positioned. Treating the project as a system prevents the common mistake of buying an intake manifold first and discovering later that the required plate, fuel line, harness extension, or heater hardware is missing.

Start With Fitment: Pickup Trucks, Model Years, and Kit Color
The supported pickup range is divided into three installation groups: 2007.5–2012, 2013–2018, and 2019–2024. The cast manifold and core mounting hardware are shared, while wiring, EGR extension selection, heat-shield spacer, and some torque values differ by year.
- 2007.5–2012: one temperature-sensor extension, the C EGR extension, and either the Short or Long EGR heat-shield spacer.
- 2013–2018: both identical temperature-sensor extensions, the C EGR extension, and the Short spacer.
- 2019–2024: one temperature-sensor extension, the D EGR extension, the Long spacer, and the heater-wire adapter set.
This grouping is the central idea behind the universal kit: several parts are intentionally supplied so one package can cover multiple generations. Not every included extension, spacer, or spare fuel line is used on a single truck.
What Comes in the Haytalras Universal Kit

The core parts include the cast intake manifold, high-flow heater plate and gasket, manifold and throttle-valve gaskets, 12 V coil heater with copper washer, coil-heater plug, two identical high-pressure fuel lines, fuel-rail spacers and mounting hardware, threadlocker, anti-seize, dust caps, zip ties, and the sensor/EGR extensions.
Both supplied high-pressure fuel lines are identical and fit the full 2007.5–2024 application range. Install either line and retain the second as an included spare; do not install both. The same logic applies to model-year-specific wiring: identify the connectors before starting, then set aside the pieces that do not belong to your year group.

Which Harnesses and Spacers Does Each Model Year Use?

A and B are two physically identical temperature-sensor/thermocouple extensions. On a 2007.5–2012 truck, use either one at the temperature sensor transferred to the high-flow intake plate and pair it with C at the EGR valve. On 2013–2018 trucks, use both A and B: one at the intake-plate temperature sensor and one at the EGR crossover-tube temperature sensor, plus C at the EGR valve.
For 2019–2024, use either A or B at the intake-plate temperature sensor and D at the EGR valve. The EGR temperature sensor reconnects to its factory harness. The unused identical temperature extension remains a spare. Before routing any harness, match connector shape and locking tabs; never force a connector that does not seat and lock normally.
Coil Heater, Plug, and 2019–2024 Wire Adapter
All supported years use the same 12 V coil heater. The coil-heater plug is also universal, but it is an alternative to the heater—not an additional component installed beside it. Use the plug only when the coil heater will not be installed. The kit’s heater wattage is not listed here because Haytalras has not published a verified wattage specification.
The Heater Wire Adapter, Heater Wire Adapter Bolt, and Heat Shrink Tubing form one three-piece group used only on 2019–2024 trucks. Earlier trucks connect according to their own factory-style 12 V lead routing and do not use this adapter set.
Critical electrical clearance. The heater-wire ring terminal must remain insulated from the coil body and surrounding metal. Metal contact can create a short circuit. Keep the lower nut at the specified height, sandwich the ring terminal between the nuts, and hold the lower nut while tightening the upper nut so the threaded post cannot rotate and damage the ceramic insulation.

Installation Sequence and Safety Checks
This is an advanced installation around a high-pressure common-rail fuel system. Read the entire manual before beginning and use a qualified diesel technician if you do not have the correct tools, clean work practices, and calibrated torque tools. A practical sequence is:
- Disconnect both negative battery cables and isolate the cable ends so they cannot spring back into contact.
- Remove the engine cover and year-specific harness, EGR crossover, intake elbow, fuel rail, and grid heater components in the manual’s order.
- Cap open fuel connections immediately. Keep dirt, fibers, sealant, and debris out of the common-rail system and intake ports.
- Transfer the required sensors and factory components to the new manifold and heater plate; clean mating surfaces without gouging them.
- Install the selected fuel line, rail hardware, manifold, harness extensions, coil heater or plug, and year-correct EGR spacer.
- Use the torque table in the supplied installation manual for the correct model-year group. The manual lists 30 lb-ft for fuel lines on 2007.5–2018 and 41 lb-ft on 2019–2024, so do not assume one value fits every truck.
- Route wiring away from sharp edges, hot surfaces, and moving parts, then reconnect both batteries only after a complete visual inspection.
Do not use this article as the only torque source. Hardware revisions, vehicle configuration, and updated manufacturer instructions can change the correct procedure. If the manual packaged with your kit differs from an older online reference, stop and verify the current instruction with Haytalras before proceeding.
EGR Gasket, Cover Plate, and Factory Heat Shield
Haytalras supplies a one-piece dual-port EGR gasket where comparable installations may use two separate gaskets. Position it as one gasket under the EGR valve for the standard EGR-retention installation. The small red four-hole EGR cover plate is an optional component and is not required for the standard EGR-retention installation. It is not an EGR valve heat shield. Any optional emissions-related configuration must follow the supplied instructions and comply with applicable laws and vehicle-use rules.
The kit includes Short and Long EGR heat-shield spacers, but it does not include an EGR Valve Heat Shield. Continue using the vehicle’s original compatible EGR heat shield: either spacer may be used for 2007.5–2012, the Short spacer is selected for 2013–2018, and the Long spacer is selected for 2019–2024.

Final Checks Before Startup
Before the first startup, confirm every connector is fully seated and locked, the fuel-rail pressure sensor and MAP sensor are connected, the heater lead has safe clearance, the fuel-line fittings are torqued for the correct year group, and all rags and protective caps have been removed. Start the engine according to the vehicle manufacturer’s normal procedure and inspect carefully for fuel, boost, or exhaust leaks.
After a short controlled test drive, recheck the engine bay for leaks, rubbing harnesses, loose heat shields, and stored diagnostic codes. If a check-engine light appears, scan and diagnose the code before further driving. A connector that is not fully locked, a heater-circuit fault, or wiring routed under tension can create a post-installation problem. Do not clear a code without finding its cause.
The main advantage of the universal Haytalras package is simpler parts planning across three model-year groups. That advantage depends on the installer selecting the correct year-specific components from the box. Confirm the pickup configuration, lay out the A/B/C/D extensions and spacer before disassembly, and treat fuel-system cleanliness and heater-terminal clearance as critical checks.
