302-3 Extra-Clearance Rear Sump Oil Pan Kit for LS Swaps
The Haytalras 302-3 oil pan is a cast-aluminum rear sump oil pan for swapping a GM LS engine into classic GM cars and Fox-body Mustangs. Its reshaped front transition adds chassis and steering-rack clearance, with internal clearance for stroker cranks up to 4.000 in. stroke with OE rods. It keeps OEM-style fitment: OEM oil filter mounting, oil cooler port provision, flange sealing, bellhousing attachment and structural rigidity.

- Pan depth: 5.46 in. (rail to lowest point); front section 1.25 in. deep
- Oil capacity: 5.6 qt in the sump, 6.1 qt total with a stock filter
- Maximum stroke with OE rods: 4.000 in.
- Two 1/2 in. NPT oil return ports (one per side) for turbocharger drain-back
- Gasket and hardware included
Before you order:
- Fits Gen III / IV LS blocks (4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2). Not for LS7 or LS9 dry sump engines.
- Windage tray and dipstick are not included. Use the GM F-body windage tray (12558253), cut for pickup clearance, and a GM LS3-style dipstick and tube.
- Depending on the vehicle, engine position (fore/aft or height) may need adjusting for clearance. Some chassis need frame notching to reach the turbo return ports.

Frequently Asked Questions
302-2 or 302-3?
Both are 5.46 in. deep rear sump LS swap pans. The 302-3 adds a reshaped front transition for rack clearance, turbo return ports and room for a 4.000 in. stroke; the 302-2 is rated to 3.62 in. and does not fit the LS7.
