Intake manifolds for the Chevy II and Nova from 1964 to 1979. Most Novas were built with a small block (283, 307, 327, 350, and the 305 from 1976), and the 1968–1970 SS could be ordered with a 396 big block. Novas are also a favorite for engine swaps, so the table is organized by the engine that is in the car today.

All small block intakes above are for traditional 1955–1986 style heads. If your Nova now has a 1987–1995 engine, see the intakes for 1987-and-later heads; for a 1996+ Vortec engine, see Vortec intakes.
Before you order
• Hood clearance: the Nova has a low hood line. Low-rise intakes such as the 2701 and 3001 are the safest choice under a stock hood; high-rise and single plane intakes usually need a cowl hood or a low air cleaner.
• Carburetor: except for the 2001, the carbureted intakes here have a square-bore (4150) flange.
• LS swap: see our LS swap oil pans and LS intakes, and check each oil pan's listed fitment for your Nova.
• Emissions: for off-road and racing use. Check your state's rules before installing on a registered vehicle.
FAQ
Is a Chevy II intake the same as a Nova intake?
Yes. The intake follows the engine, and the Chevy II and Nova used the same small blocks.
Will a high-rise intake fit under my stock Nova hood?
Often not, especially with a tall air cleaner. If you want to keep the stock hood, start with a low-rise intake.
