302-2 Low-Profile Rear Sump Oil Pan Kit for LS Swaps
The Haytalras 302-2 oil pan is a cast-aluminum, low-profile rear sump oil pan for swapping a GM LS engine into classic GM muscle cars and trucks. It keeps OEM-style fitment: OEM oil filter mounting, oil cooler port provision, flange sealing, bellhousing attachment and structural rigidity. The kit comes with the baffle, pickup tube and hardware you need.
- Rear sump, wet sump design
- Sump depth: 5.46 in.; front section 1.25 in. deep for steering linkage clearance
- Oil capacity: 5.7 qt in the sump, 6.2 qt total with a stock filter
- Maximum stroke with OE rods: 92mm (3.62 in.)
- Gasket and hardware included
Before you order:
- Fits Gen III / IV LS blocks (4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2). Not for LS7 or LS9 dry sump engines.
- Depending on the vehicle, engine position (fore/aft or height) may need adjusting for clearance.
- For strokes longer than 92mm, see the 302-3 extra-clearance pan.

Frequently Asked Questions
302-1, 302-2 or 302-3?
The 302-2 front section is 1.25 in. deep versus 2.42 in. on the 302-1, so it clears steering linkage just behind the crossmember. Its sump floor starts farther forward, so check crossmember clearance. The 302-3 shares the 5.46 in. depth and adds room for a 4.000 in. stroke.
